Ortho Cloud Processing
ImageStation accelerates photogrammetric processing through its use of “ortho clouds” consisting of computing resources connected by high-speed network infrastructure and high-performance storage systems. Intergraph’s ortho cloud uses a private cloud paradigm that can be deployed within any organization, including mapping agencies or cloud service providers.
ImageStation can generate dense point clouds from stereo imagery using the industry-accepted semi-global matching technique. Semi-global matching avoids correlation problems caused by recording or illumination differences or reflections, and facilitates matching at the boundaries of objects or fine structures. You can use these dense point clouds to create precise surface models for highly accurate orthorectification, or as a source for manual or semi-automatic feature collection.
